Also in 2006 Marlaina and her staff received the School Age Excellence award presented by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. In 2004 she directed her former business to be the 2nd Nationally Accredited School Age Program in the state. As a teenager she was chosen to represent the state in a national event hosted by The Universal Cheerleaders/ Dancers Association ! She traveled to England and performed in their nationally known Lord Mayor Day Parade.Marlaina competed in state pageants for many years, placing 1st runner up twice to the title. She placed and won in many talent divisions and won the title of Miss Congenitally and scholarships to modeling and talent schools. Marlaina attended St. Mary Academy Bay view where she was a dancer in their very well known Cabaret.  Under her direction she has choreographed many dance recitals and productions. She has trained children of all ages and has served as a judge for many local talent and speaking competitions.

Marlaina currently holds the title of MRS. RI US OF AMERICA 2008 and will compete in the national pageant this August.

Marlaina always knew she would have the opportunity to open a PAC. In 2007 after a leg injury and being told that there was a chance she would never dance again Marlaina set her sights on this dream. Being in the childcare field for so long Marlina knew it was a convenience for today's working parents to have a place where their children can get a quality education at an affordable price. After researching the states PAC's and finding there were not a lot of opportunities, her journey to provide one began. With the help of her parents, friends and loyal clients she developed TTPAC. TTPAC trains children in ALL areas of the arts and with the addition of the TTPAC modeling and pageant program, it has become known as RI'S Talent Prep Studio!
Miss Laina, as her children refer to her, feels that every child should be given the opportunity to explore their creative vision. The concept of this company has been based on that belief. All of her programs offered are to encourage, guide and support children through their artistic journey!
